Strive CEO: Bitcoin's Long-Term Performance Is Expected to Surpass Gold
Strive CEO Matt Cole posted on X that prolonged currency devaluation will continue to drive the appreciation of scarce assets. Bitcoin, as digital gold, remains in its early stages, and with market maturation, its long-term performance is expected to surpass that of gold. Cole also listed the annualized growth rates of gold and U.S. M2 during different periods: 9.0% and 6.7% since 1970, 9.5% and 6.3% since the global financial crisis, and 18.3% and 6.5% since the pandemic.
He believes that as the debt crisis worsens, the long-term outperformance of scarce assets relative to the U.S. dollar may further expand. For Strive, whether it can outperform Bitcoin depends not merely on reducing financing costs, but on maintaining a high Bitcoin exposure multiplier and sufficient liquidity; establishing and sustaining a high Bitcoin exposure while avoiding financial risks is highly challenging. Its core investment philosophy is to reduce U.S. dollar exposure over the long term and increase Bitcoin allocation.
