Hopson Development Holdings Limited (Hopson Development, 00754.HK) has engaged Deloitte Advisory (Hong Kong) Limited as an independent internal control consultant, in line with the Hong Kong Stock Exchange’s Resumption Guidance issued after the April 2026 trading halt.\n\nThe Audit Committee independently selected Deloitte after assessing the firm’s independence, credentials and resources. A dedicated team of at least five qualified accountants—two of whom possess over 20 and 12 years of relevant experience, respectively—will carry out the review. Deloitte aims to complete its work within approximately one and a half months, targeting the end of September 2026.\n\nKey objectives of the review include: \n1) verifying that material deficiencies linked to the suspension have been fully rectified and remedial measures implemented; and \n2) confirming that Hopson Development’s internal controls are adequate for complying with Listing Rules and other regulatory requirements, particularly around the financial reporting cycle.\n\nTrading in Hopson Development’s shares has been suspended since 9:00 a.m. on 1 April 2026, pending fulfillment of the Resumption Guidance. The suspension will remain in place until further notice. The company plans to release additional updates on the internal control review’s progress and findings as required under Listing Rules.\n\nThe Board currently comprises eight directors, including five executive directors and three independent non-executive directors, with Ms. Chu Kut Yung serving as Chairman.
