On March 18, Beijing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics held its first large-scale comprehensive career fair for the spring of 2026 at its Xueyuan Road campus. A total of 518 employers from across the country were present on-site to recruit talent, while over ten thousand companies participated via an online cloud platform, collectively offering more than 34,000 job positions. An AI (Artificial Intelligence) experience zone was set up with multiple smart terminal devices, providing "one-stop" services to help graduates enhance their job-seeking competitiveness. "I am looking for a job in Beijing that matches my major. Can you recommend something?" said Xiao Feng, a third-year graduate student from the School of Instrumentation Science and Opto-electronics Engineering, whose career interests are mainly related to high-end manufacturing, cutting-edge research, and intelligent technology. After entering his requirements into the "AI Xiao Hang" employment system, a series of recommended results quickly appeared on the page. After identifying his preferred companies, an "AI interviewer" also conducted a mock interview for him and provided optimization suggestions. "This is my first time experiencing AI resume optimization. The guidance feels very targeted and it also links to more practical information," said Guo Yingying, a third-year graduate student from the School of Biological Science and Medical Engineering. The AI matched her with professional guidance courses and consulting information related to her field, allowing her to access further assistance. "We have developed the system based on historical data accumulated by the university and overall corporate recruitment needs, combined with disciplinary characteristics, mainly using AI to empower job searching, guidance, and procedural support," explained Zhuang Jie, Director of the BUAA Employment Guidance Service Center. The "AI Xiao Hang" employment system not only helps students quickly identify suitable positions but also automatically matches them with available on-campus employment service resources and provides clear step-by-step guidance for the employment process. This career fair was held for the first time in a "main offline venue + online cloud platform" synchronous format. The offline venue was divided into seven specialized sections, including aerospace and high-end equipment, information technology, humanities and education, and biomedicine, achieving precise matching of "industry + major + employment." Students could scan a code to enter an online venue open and shared nationwide, where AI intelligent matching allowed them to submit their resumes to more positions with one click. Ji Yipeng, Director of the BUAA Student Affairs Center, stated that the university will continue to expand employment opportunities in key fields, strengthen technological empowerment, and implement precise measures to support graduates in achieving high-quality employment.
