Market Focus
09/14

On September 14, SHEIN-W (00625) fell 3.74% in regular trading, trading at 38.26 HKD/share, with turnover of approximately 14.21 million HKD. The decline came on the very day the stock is scheduled to be formally included in the Hang Seng Composite Index after market close.

On September 2, the Hang Seng Index Company announced that SHEIN-W met the fast-track inclusion criteria and would be added to the Hang Seng Composite Index and its sub-indices effective September 15. However, due to its weighted voting rights (WVR) structure, the company remains ineligible for Stock Connect inclusion for approximately seven more months, limiting near-term access by mainland investors. The stock has been under sustained selling pressure since its September 1 IPO, when it opened flat at 48.56 HKD and fell over 9% intraday on its debut. From the IPO price of 48.56 HKD, SHEIN-W has now declined approximately 21%.
