Industry sources say NVIDIA has asked Samsung Electronics, SK Hynix and Micron to use TSMC 3nm base die for production of NVHBM (NVIDIA’s custom HBM), while core die would use sixth‑generation DRAM.

Sources say Samsung has decided to accept NVIDIA’s technical requirements. On Oct. 19 Samsung said it does not comment on customer-related matters.

TSMC stock jumped 1.91% while Nvidia rose 1.59% in premarket trading.
