Iran has ordered a temporary suspension of the 10% freight surcharge imposed on foreign vessels carrying imported and exported oil, liquefied natural gas, and other cargoes.
According to a directive issued by the Iranian president's deputy for legal affairs, the measure is designed to lower transportation costs for oil, gas, and liquefied petroleum products.
The suspension is expected to incentivize foreign shipping fleets to transport more goods to and from Iran, potentially boosting trade volumes for the country.
