Ouster Inc.'s stock soared 5.03% intraday on Tuesday following the announcement of a significant collaboration with FieldAI.

The partnership aims to deploy Ouster's Rev8 native color digital lidar to enhance the perception and navigation capabilities of general-purpose robots operating in complex, unstructured industrial environments. The integration is expected to provide the reliability and adaptability required for scaling autonomous robotics in safety-critical settings where work is often dangerous for humans.

By incorporating the Rev8 sensors into its products, FieldAI plans to expand its deployments with large industrial customers across sectors including construction, mining, energy, manufacturing, security, and government, targeting improved robot navigation in challenging, GPS-denied sites.
