Want Want China buys back 2.05 million shares for HK$6.99 million; cumulative repurchases under current mandate at 28.68 million

Want Want China Holdings Limited disclosed a Next Day Disclosure Return following a series of on-market share repurchases that took place between 29 July and 3 August 2026.

On 3 August 2026, the company acquired 2.05 million ordinary shares on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange at prices ranging from HK$3.365 to HK$3.43 per share, for a total consideration of HK$6.99 million. All shares bought back are earmarked for cancellation.

Including purchases on 29 July (3.01 million shares at HK$3.50 each), 30 July (3.50 million shares at HK$3.46 each) and 31 July (3.00 million shares at HK$3.42 each), a total of 11.56 million shares—about 0.10% of the company’s 11.79 billion issued shares—are now pending cancellation.

Since the repurchase mandate was approved on 26 August 2025, Want Want China has bought back 28.68 million shares, utilising roughly 0.24% of the 1.18 billion shares authorised for repurchase.

Following the latest transactions, the company’s issued share capital remains at 11.79 billion shares. Under Hong Kong listing rules, Want Want China is subject to a moratorium on new share issues or treasury-share disposals until 2 September 2026.
