Leapmotor has officially launched the A05, its second global model under the new A-platform, positioning it as a "smart, agile, and premium compact sedan."

Available in five variants with two range options—405km and 510km—the car is priced between 63,900 and 90,900 yuan. The A05 targets younger female drivers, addressing their needs for style, ease of driving, parking convenience, smart features, and overall quality.

The vehicle measures 4,200mm in length, 1,800mm in width, and 1,560mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,605mm. It offers six globally inspired natural colors: Morgan Pink, Foggy Rice, Seaweed Green, Berry Blue, Tundra Gray, and Pine Gray. Inside, the wrap-around cabin features 2.6 square meters of soft-touch materials, with three natural interior themes: Peach Pink, Oatmeal Gray, and Galena Black.

Equipped with a 53kWh battery pack, the A05 achieves a CLTC combined range of 510km. With 2.5C ultra-fast charging, it can charge from 30% to 80% in just 16 minutes, thanks to a peak power of 133kW. The vehicle's energy consumption is as low as 10.6kWh per 100km, powered by a seven-in-one oil-cooled electric drive that reaches a top speed of 160km/h and supports stable high-speed cruising at 150km/h. It boasts a compact 4.9-meter turning radius, aided by the LMC integrated motion control system, ZF Onebox intelligent braking system, and precise steering algorithms.

The A05 features a high-precision LiDAR and a Qualcomm 8650 high-compute chip, offering long-range wide-area perception and 200 TOPS of equivalent computing power. It supports end-to-end assisted driving from parking spot to parking spot, along with functions like HPA (memory parking), APA (automatic parking assist), custom parking, mobile phone parking assist, straight-in/straight-out, and 120-meter reverse tracking. Additionally, it includes 43 driver-assist functions and the industry's most comprehensive auxiliary imaging system.

With an interior space utilization rate of 88.4%, the A05 accommodates versatile seating modes such as surfboard mode, nap mode, bed mode, pet and moving mode, and privacy storage mode, along with 34 storage compartments. The trunk features a large, double-layer expandable structure with a base capacity of 474L, expandable to 1,308L with the rear seats folded, plus a 91L washable lower storage compartment. The smart cockpit is powered by a Qualcomm 8295 flagship chip, paired with an 8.8-inch instrument cluster and a 14.6-inch 2.5K ultra-clear center console screen. The new Leapmotor OS integrates Alibaba's Tongyi Qianwen AI large model, and includes a 12-speaker 7.1-channel audio system, karaoke without a microphone, self-developed AI call noise reduction, and a dual-ecosystem full connectivity system.

In terms of safety, the new model adheres to development standards from nearly 40 countries and regions, undergoing millions of kilometers of extreme road testing and endurance validation in both extreme cold and heat. It features a comprehensive safety system covering active safety, passive safety, three-electric safety, and cabin health.
