BRETON (01333) saw its shares jump more than 11% in the final stretch of Thursday's trading session, before settling at a gain of 9.45% to HK$11.93, with turnover reaching HK$35.71 million.

According to market reports, the company has laid out a strategic roadmap to achieve scale profitability by 2027, with plans to double annual profits in each subsequent year. BRETON's chairman, Chen Fangming, shared with reporters that the firm is targeting annual profits exceeding RMB 5 billion by 2031.

As of June this year, BRETON has deployed nearly 100 mining trucks equipped with autonomous driving systems into commercial operations. Under the current fee structure, this segment is projected to generate approximately RMB 20 million in annual revenue.

On the overseas energy front, the company's mining power projects in the Democratic Republic of Congo and Zimbabwe have both been connected to the grid, serving local copper and gold mines, respectively. Additionally, a rutile mining project in Sierra Leone is scheduled for grid connection in the third quarter of this year. BRETON primarily sells electricity to mines through long-term power purchase agreements, using this foundation to expand further into electric mining trucks and autonomous driving services.
