Oracle (ORCL.US) is collaborating with Alphabet's (GOOGL.US) Google Cloud to provide Gemini AI model services to its customers. The companies announced an expansion of their partnership, enabling customers to access Google AI models through Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) generative AI services, with the initial rollout featuring Gemini 2.5.
Oracle stated that customers can leverage the latest Gemini models to build AI agents suitable for multiple scenarios, including multimodal understanding, advanced programming and software development, productivity and workflow automation, as well as research and knowledge retrieval applications. The company specifically highlighted that customers can directly use their existing Oracle Universal Credits to access Gemini model services.
Through a new integration solution with the Vertex AI platform, Oracle plans to fully deploy Google's Gemini series models within OCI generative AI services, including video, image, voice, and music generation models, as well as vertical industry-specific models like MedLM.
Google Cloud CEO Thomas Kurian commented: "Oracle customers can now access our leading models directly within their own environments, making it more convenient to deploy powerful AI agents that support developers and optimize data integration tasks."
Oracle revealed that it will deepen its collaboration with Google Cloud in the future, offering Gemini model options based on Vertex AI within Oracle Fusion cloud applications, providing richer choices for workflow optimization in finance, human resources, supply chain, sales, service, and marketing domains.
