Trip.com Group Expands Paternity Leave to 20 Days

At a time when statutory paternity leave in many cities remains at 10 or 15 days, the "parental involvement" of working fathers is often diluted by high-intensity jobs. Ahead of Father's Day 2026, Trip.com Group Limited (NASDAQ: TCOM) has again enhanced its "family-friendly" benefits, announcing that from May 1, 2026, eligible full-time male employees will be provided with no less than 20 days of paternity leave.

This initiative not only increases the number of leave days for employees but also allows them to apply for the leave flexibly from five days before the expected due date up to six months after the child's birth. Through this human-centric policy design, the company is continuously expanding the boundaries of what it means to be a family-friendly enterprise.

Ongoing Enhancements: Building a Lifecycle "Family-Friendly" Ecosystem

Trip.com Group Limited has consistently prioritized "human sustainability" as a key focus for its long-term development. Looking back at its benefits timeline, the company has established an industry-leading system for fertility and family support: it fully implemented a hybrid work policy starting in 2022, introduced significant "Next-Generation Growth Support" benefits in 2023, and established child-care leave in 2025. This latest extension of paternity leave for male employees precisely addresses the need for working fathers to share parenting responsibilities in families with newborns, providing a more robust support system for employees' families.

This time, the company has established a nationwide paternity leave benefit of no less than 20 days for male employees, adapting to the objective differences in statutory leave durations across various provinces and cities in China. In the Shanghai area, the company provides an additional 10 days of corporate leave on top of the statutory 10 days. In provinces and cities like Beijing, Guangdong, and Jiangsu, where the statutory leave is generally 15 days, the company uniformly adds 5 more days. Furthermore, the flexible rule allowing use from five days before the due date up to six months after birth transforms the leave into a long-term, freely manageable period of companionship for new fathers, offering tangible support for families with newborns.
