On August 18, 2026, the "Gathering in Beijing, Meeting Quality Assets" Special Assets Exchange and Promotion Conference was successfully held at the Beijing Equity Exchange. The event was co-hosted by the Beijing Equity Exchange and the Beijing branches of four major financial asset management companies: China CITIC Financial Asset Management Co., Ltd. (CITIC Financial Assets), China Great Wall Asset Management Co., Ltd. (Great Wall Assets), China Orient Asset Management Co., Ltd. (Orient Assets), and China Cinda Asset Management Co., Ltd. (Cinda Assets). Approximately 400 guests from financial asset management firms, professional investment institutions, and law firms attended the event, while over 6,000 viewers followed the proceedings online via livestream.

In his opening remarks, Hu Jiang, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Deputy General Manager of CITIC Financial Assets' Beijing Branch, noted that with accelerating economic structural adjustment and market clearing, the supply of non-performing assets continues to rise, creating a steady stream of investment opportunities. However, asset forms are becoming increasingly complex and disposal more challenging. Against this backdrop, operating in isolation is no longer sufficient to meet market demands; only by strengthening collaboration among institutions and enhancing engagement with investors can non-performing assets be effectively revitalized and disposed of. This conference serves both as an integration of industry resources and an innovation in service models, aiming to aggregate diverse asset targets, build a transparent transaction information system, and provide efficient matchmaking services to significantly improve asset circulation efficiency and jointly drive high-quality development of the special assets industry.

Zhu Ge, Party Secretary and Chairman of the Beijing Equity Exchange, stated in his address that as the special assets industry enters a new phase characterized by professional empowerment, ecosystem collaboration, and value reshaping, financial asset management companies play an indispensable and critical role in clearing risk assets, revitalizing existing assets, and improving resource allocation efficiency. As a leading institution in the property rights market, the Beijing Equity Exchange, while serving state-owned asset transactions, has deepened its presence in special asset disposal by establishing platforms such as the "Financial Claims Trading Platform," "Online Judicial Auction Platform," "Bankruptcy Business Comprehensive Service Platform," and "Collateral Disposal Platform," offering full-chain, one-stop services including information disclosure, advisory consulting, promotional outreach, transaction matchmaking, and financial services. Over the past five years, the Beijing Equity Exchange has completed 478 debt asset disposal projects with a transaction value exceeding RMB 77 billion, and 5,483 judicial auction projects with a transaction value surpassing RMB 24 billion. A significant number of projects have closed at premium prices, providing solid support for fully unlocking asset value, efficient revitalization, and mitigating financial risks.

A roundtable salon, themed "Development Trends and Value Investment Opportunities in the Special Assets Industry," was moderated by Cao Yuzheng, General Manager of the Business Management Department at CITIC Financial Assets. Four industry experts, including Chen Jingshan, Professor and Doctoral Supervisor at China University of Political Science and Law and Deputy Dean of the School of Law; Ji Faxing, Partner of Tax and Business Advisory at EY China; Cao Jingjing, General Manager of the Index Research Department at China Index Academy; and Jin Lianwei, Director of Valuation and Advisory Services and Head of New Economy Business for the Northern Region at Cushman & Wakefield, engaged in discussions covering real estate investment directions, exit pathways for real estate, tax planning for asset disposal, and out-of-court restructuring practices. Participants agreed that revitalizing special assets requires multi-domain collaboration and called for building a cooperative alliance that pools industry strength, offering valuable references for investment institutions to assess market conditions and manage risks.

This conference featured a rich variety of asset categories, with collateral spanning commercial, residential, hotel, and office properties, adaptable to diverse investment needs. The assets were widely distributed across multiple provinces and cities nationwide, covering various scales and sizes to accommodate the layout preferences of different institutions. Moreover, ample room for asset revitalization exists, as most targets can achieve value restoration and appreciation through debt restructuring, industrial introduction, and resource integration, presenting rare opportunities for investment institutions.

During the roadshow segment, representatives from CITIC Financial Assets' headquarters and Beijing branch, Great Wall Assets' Beijing branch, Orient Assets' Beijing branch, and Cinda Assets' Beijing branch successively delivered asset presentations, comprehensively showcasing the core value of their projects. Following the conference, investment institutions and promoting agencies engaged in one-on-one negotiations, with a vibrant and enthusiastic atmosphere on-site.

This landmark event successfully established a connectivity channel among asset suppliers, professional investors, trading platforms, and intermediary service providers, effectively driving the precise matching and efficient integration of assets, capital, and resources. Looking ahead, the Beijing Equity Exchange will leverage this conference as a springboard to deepen pragmatic cooperation with financial asset management companies and other institutions, innovate asset disposal models, comprehensively enhance service quality and efficiency, and jointly build a special assets ecosystem featuring resource sharing, complementary advantages, and mutual benefit, making greater contributions to maintaining financial market stability and supporting the steady and long-term growth of the Chinese economy.
