INNOSCIENCE (02577) surged nearly 7% in afternoon trading, gaining 6.49% to HKD 86.1 with a turnover of HKD 361 million. The rally follows the announcement of a memorandum of understanding (MOU) between INNOSCIENCE and ON Semiconductor to capitalize on opportunities in the gallium nitride (GaN) power device market. ON Semiconductor is expected to begin providing samples in the first half of 2026.

The collaboration will initially focus on 40-200V power devices to enhance customer adoption. INNOSCIENCE highlighted that leveraging its mature 8-inch silicon-based GaN process, the partnership will combine its advanced GaN manufacturing capabilities with ON Semiconductor's expertise in system packaging and integration. This aims to accelerate the adoption of GaN technology in key sectors such as new energy vehicles, artificial intelligence, data centers, and industrial applications.

The strategic alliance is projected to generate hundreds of millions in GaN sales for INNOSCIENCE in the coming years while providing both companies a competitive edge in expanding their market presence across these critical industries.
