Samsung Electronics Retains Top Spot as Korea's Most Valuable Brand; SK Hynix Breaks into Top Ten

According to a report released Thursday by the global brand consultancy Interbrand, Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. has once again been named South Korea's most valuable brand this year.

The "2026 Korea Best Brands" report from Interbrand estimates the brand value of Samsung Electronics at 113.26 trillion won (approximately $741 billion). This represents a 7.4% decrease compared to the previous year, yet the company remains at the top of the list of Korea's 50 most valuable brands.

Interbrand assesses brand value through a comprehensive analysis of a company's financial performance, the brand's influence on consumer purchasing decisions, and its overall competitive strength.

SK Hynix has broken into the top ten for the first time this year, climbing to the 9th position from 13th place last year. Its brand value increased by 34.8% year-on-year, reaching 3.23 trillion won.

Hyundai Motor secured the second position with a brand value of 30.75 trillion won, marking a 10.1% increase from the previous year.

Its smaller affiliate, Kia Corporation, ranked third with a brand value of 10.68 trillion won. It was followed by LG Electronics (8.6 trillion won) and the portal giant Naver (8.24 trillion won).
