From March 20 to 25, 2026, Pan Gongsheng, Governor of the People's Bank of China, held separate meetings with Bill Winters, Group Chief Executive of Standard Chartered, Noel Quinn, Group Chief Executive of HSBC, and Michael Miebach, Chief Executive Officer of Mastercard, who were in China to attend the China Development Forum. The discussions focused on the current economic and financial situations in China and globally, as well as the further opening up of China's financial sector.
