According to an official statement released by the Wugang Municipal Government Office in Henan Province on December 11, authorities have launched an investigation following media reports about irregularities in the "Wugang Rooftop Solar Installation Project" disclosure. Preliminary findings indicate that Peihui Solar Power Co., Ltd., a private enterprise established on March 28, 2024, had filed false information regarding 10 households—including names like "Lin Guorui" and "Lin Wenshu"—for a residential solar project approved via Henan’s online regulatory platform on November 20, 2024. The project was never implemented. The Wugang Development and Reform Commission is conducting a full review of all projects filed by the company and will take further action as needed. The government acknowledged media oversight and expressed gratitude for public scrutiny. Earlier reports on December 9 revealed that names matching those in an online viral list dubbed the "busiest five names" appeared in the project’s approval records. Cross-referencing with Baidu's name database showed 10 names from the project aligned with the database, including four of the five viral names ("Lin Guorui," "Lin Wenshu," "Lin Yanan," and "Jiang Yiyun"), with only "Zhang Jiwei" missing.
