Registration Open: Shaanxi-Gansu Apple Blossom Market Survey, April 7-12, 2026

A market survey will be conducted from April 7 to April 12, 2026, focusing on apple production and market conditions in Shaanxi and Gansu provinces. In 2025, domestic apple output and quality both declined due to adverse weather, including drought followed by prolonged rain. This led to reduced storage volumes and increased fruit spoilage, ultimately supporting a steady rise in apple prices. The apple futures market experienced a unique, sustained period of moderate gains.

In 2026, as debates continue over the quantity and quality of stored old-crop apples, amid a gradual reduction in the number of orchard farmers and a westward shift in market focus, how will prices evolve? Participants are encouraged to join this survey to explore investment opportunities in apple futures. Key objectives include assessing old-crop inventory levels, new-season planting acreage, blossom conditions, and insights from growers, traders, and end-demand trends.

Through face-to-face exchanges, the survey aims to objectively analyze price movements and trading logic in both spot and futures apple markets. The itinerary includes visits to Xi’an, Qian County, Changwu County, Ning County, Fu County, Yanchang County, Luochuan County, Baishui County, and back to Xi’an. Participants will engage with major listed apple companies, futures delivery warehouses, planting cooperatives, cold storage facilities, traders, and orchard farmers across different regions. Note: Specific enterprises and routes may be adjusted based on actual conditions.

The participation fee is 6,800 RMB, covering single-room accommodation for five nights, ten meals, vehicle rental, and guide services from April 7 to 12. Travel expenses to and from Xi’an are to be covered individually.
