Masirah Oil Limited announced on Jan, 29 2026 that its parent company, Rex Oman Ltd., has signed a contract to charter the Energy Emerger jack-up drilling rig from Northern Offshore Drilling Operations Ltd.

The rig will be deployed to drill three development wells in the offshore Yumna Field in Block 50, Oman, with operations expected to commence in Mar, 2026.

Masirah Oil, the operator of Block 50 with a 100 per cent interest, is an indirect 87.5 per cent subsidiary of Jasmine Energy Limited.

General Manager Mike Hopkinson said the secured funding and rig position the company to execute the programme aimed at boosting production rates and extending the field’s lifespan.
