Tianjin Capital Environmental Protection posts 2025 ESG report highlighting 1.7 billion-ton wastewater treatment and strengthened green governance

Tianjin Capital Environmental Protection released its 2025 Sustainability & ESG Report, detailing operational, environmental and governance achievements for the year.

• Green operations – The group treated 1.70 billion tons of wastewater, harmlessly disposed of 226,000 tons of sludge and 92,000 tons of hazardous waste, and delivered 82.87 million tons of reclaimed water, 50.46 million tons of tap water and 5.86 million tons of industrial water. Photovoltaic clean-energy use reached 44,467.41 MWh.

• Climate metrics – Scope 1 and Scope 2 greenhouse-gas emissions totalled 342,009 tons of CO₂-equivalent, while clean-energy projects generated 358,957 MWh of heat and 60,302 MWh of cooling for external users.

• Technology investment – R&D spending was RMB 60.91 million, equal to 1.28% of operating revenue, with 204 patents (60 inventions) and 36 software copyrights held. A new ESG digital platform was launched, and the data centre obtained steady-state (Level 3) DCMM certification.

• Governance – The board met 25 times with 100% director attendance; four specialised committees, including a Strategy & ESG Committee, are in place. Information disclosure comprised 65 announcements and replies to more than 700 investor enquiries.

• Workforce – Total employees numbered 2,330, all covered by labour contracts and social insurance. Training coverage was 100%, with 93,619 training hours logged. No work-related fatalities occurred; 100% of employees received health checks.

• Taxes and community – Tax payments reached RMB 413.86 million. The company organised 59 volunteer activities (617 participations) and facilitated RMB 32.00 million of sales of agricultural and specialty products in support of Tibet assistance programmes.

• Supply chain – The group managed 4,135 suppliers via a full life-cycle assessment framework; no integrity-related violations or major environmental incidents were reported.

Management reiterated commitment to the mission of “Restoring clear waters to the world and delivering freshness to humanity,” targeting deeper digital transformation, low-carbon upgrades and expanded “water + new energy” services in the next stage.
