Qualcomm (NASDAQ: QCOM) and BMW Group have announced a significant partnership agreement.

Under the deal, Qualcomm will supply computing chips for BMW's next-generation digital cockpits and advanced driver assistance systems/autonomous driving (ADAS/AD) for the next ten years.

The agreement builds on years of technical collaboration between the two companies and demonstrates Qualcomm's ability to deliver superior computing performance and AI capabilities to meet BMW's most demanding vehicle project requirements.

This partnership covers multiple solutions from Qualcomm's Snapdragon Digital Chassis, including its most powerful system-on-chip (SoC)—the Snapdragon Automotive Platform Elite—and dedicated AI accelerators. These will form the hardware foundation for BMW's next-generation AI-powered vehicle experiences.

Nakul Duggal, Senior Vice President and General Manager of Automotive, Industrial & Embedded IoT, and Robotics at Qualcomm Technologies, stated: "The exceptional platform flexibility and powerful performance of the Snapdragon Digital Chassis allow both parties to continuously expand the breadth of our collaboration and the boundaries of innovation. We are honored to work with BMW Group to help realize its vision for next-generation vehicles. BMW's selection of Qualcomm as its primary computing chip provider for digital cockpits and driver assistance reflects its trust in our technology capabilities and product roadmap. As agentic AI and physical AI drive the development of next-generation smart vehicles, our partnership will jointly define the new direction of future mobility."

The latest result of their collaboration is the successful mass production of the Snapdragon Ride Pilot in the BMW iX3 in November 2025, the first model from BMW's Neue Klasse platform. The jointly developed Snapdragon Ride Pilot supports BMW's unique human-machine shared driving experience, enabling seamless collaboration between the driver and the driver assistance system in BMW's signature way, and is first applied in BMW's latest generation of vehicles.

The Snapdragon Digital Chassis, as an integrated automotive computing platform created by Qualcomm Technologies, consolidates the company's more than two decades of investment and expertise in automotive-grade chips and software. The solutions within the Snapdragon Digital Chassis are specifically designed for various functional domains and work together based on a unified architecture, allowing the entire vehicle to operate as a single intelligent system.
