On January 5, a notice titled "Notice on Promoting Green Consumption Actions" was issued by nine departments, including the Ministry of Commerce. The notice proposes increasing credit supply by encouraging financial institutions to enhance support for green consumption loans that meet established standards. It also supports banks in providing convenient services to users with a positive record of green consumption. Furthermore, financial institutions are encouraged to collaborate with commercial and trade circulation enterprises to broaden the application scenarios for green consumption loans. The notice calls for innovation in financial products, urging financial institutions to actively provide insurance coverage for green consumption. It also proposes exploring the establishment of a project database for green consumption infrastructure, which would regularly recommend high-quality projects to financial institutions for connection. Additionally, it supports eligible projects in issuing Real Estate Investment Trusts (REITs) in the infrastructure sector.
