At the launch event for the 2026 JD.com 618 shopping festival, Cao Peng, Chairman of JD.com's Technology Committee and President of JD Cloud, announced that the company's AI-related research and development investment is set to grow by over 200% this year. He emphasized that JD.com continues to significantly increase its AI R&D spending, positioning it within the top tier of the industry.

Additionally, Cao Peng revealed that in the first quarter of this year, nearly 80 million users utilized the "Jingyan" assistant on the JD.com app for shopping support, marking a year-over-year increase of more than 200%. He also noted that JD.com's Joylnside platform is projected to be integrated into over 10 million smart hardware devices this year, establishing itself as a super gateway for the Internet of Everything.
