Philippines Energy Secretary Sharon Garin stated that the country maintains ample crude oil supplies and is actively working to secure additional purchases. During a briefing, she emphasized that fuel reserves remain at reassuring levels. Garin noted that as of March 20, the Philippines had crude oil inventories sufficient for 45 days. She further indicated that the Philippine National Oil Company (PNOC) has already secured supplementary supply agreements and is pursuing further procurement. Following the announcement, the Philippine peso strengthened by as much as 1% against the US dollar, reaching 59.68 pesos per dollar.
