Technology fuels dreams and sparks creativity. Recently, the Sanjiaozui Home Community in Huangqiao Street, Xiangcheng District, Suzhou, partnered with its Community Youth League Branch to host a creative 3D pen class titled "The Future Community in My Heart." The event introduced children to 3D printing technology, allowing them to use 3D pens to create three-dimensional models of their ideal communities.
During the lesson, party member volunteers and youth league members explained the working principles, usage methods, and safety precautions of the 3D pens. They described how these "magic pens" could transform flat lines into solid shapes. The teachers then guided the children to observe and think first. The children's imaginative ideas reflected their observations and expectations of daily community life.
In the creative session, the children carefully outlined their designs using the 3D pens: some drew small houses with photovoltaic roofs, others created three-dimensional slides, some printed colorful flowers and trees, and a few added smart streetlights and fitness equipment to the community. Colored filaments flowed slowly from the pen tips, gradually turning into small three-dimensional parts in the children's hands. The children helped each other and showed off their work. When they encountered issues like pen jams or unstable structures, they raised their hands to ask the teachers. The classroom was filled with a focused creative atmosphere.
Before long, imaginative "future community" models were born. The children held up their creations, eagerly describing the functions of the communities they had designed, with pride and joy shining in their eyes.
This special 3D pen class integrated technological innovation with community education. It not only gave children hands-on experience with 3D printing technology, honing their practical skills and spatial imagination, but also deepened their understanding of the community and strengthened their sense of belonging to their home. Moving forward, Sanjiaozui Home Community plans to continue offering more creative and thoughtful summer care courses, incorporating technology, aesthetic education, and moral development into daily activities. This will allow children to learn through play and gain insights through creation, ensuring a colorful and rewarding summer vacation.
