Agricultural Bank of China has successfully supported the inaugural panda bond issuance by the Republic of Indonesia on the China Interbank Bond Market, achieving an investment scale that ranks among the top of its peers.

The issuance adopted a "3-year + 5-year" combined structure. Tranche 1 was issued at 5.6 billion yuan with a 3-year term, while Tranche 2 was issued at 1.4 billion yuan with a 5-year term. The total issuance size of the bonds reached 7 billion yuan, setting a new record for sovereign panda bond issuances. Notably, the 5-year tranche represents the longest maturity for a sovereign panda bond this year.

As the largest economy in the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN), the Republic of Indonesia has been deepening its comprehensive strategic partnership and the building of a China-Indonesia community with a shared future alongside China in recent years. Both nations continue to strengthen bilateral financial cooperation. Leveraging its leading position in the RMB investment and financing market, Agricultural Bank of China actively serves the renminbi internationalization strategy and successfully participated in this bond issuance. The successful issuance of panda bonds in China by Indonesia marks another milestone in China-Indonesia financial cooperation.

As China's financial market opening-up continues to deepen, more overseas entities are choosing to issue renminbi-denominated bonds within the country.
