EuroEyes International Eye Clinic Limited reported unaudited interim results for the six months to 30 June 2026, showing revenue climbed 20.5 % year on year to HK$454.33 million, the highest first-half level in the group’s history.

Gross profit rose 14.1 % to HK$178.98 million, although the gross margin narrowed to 39.4 % from 41.6 % a year earlier, reflecting the initial consolidation of the loss-making Switzerland business and higher doctors’ fees.

After booking HK$16.25 million of one-off expenses linked to the acquisition of FYEO Europe B.V. and incorporating start-up losses from the Swiss operation, the group recorded a net loss attributable to shareholders of HK$13.56 million, versus a HK$38.40 million profit in the prior-year period. Basic and diluted losses per share were HK$0.0425 compared with earnings of HK$0.12.

EBITDA fell 40.0 % to HK$79.14 million. Excluding Switzerland and acquisition-related costs, management calculates a normalised profit of HK$38.01 million, broadly flat year on year.

Operationally, EuroEyes performed 15,458 surgeries, up 12.7 %. Presbyopia procedures—principally lens exchange and Presbyond Laser Blended Vision—generated HK$279.10 million, or 61.4 % of total revenue.

Revenue by market: • Germany: HK$232.77 million, +15.8 % • China including Hong Kong SAR: HK$83.05 million, +12.6 % • United Kingdom: HK$66.71 million, +7.6 % • Denmark: HK$33.61 million, –16.9 % • Switzerland (first-time contribution): HK$38.19 million

As at 30 June 2026 cash and cash equivalents stood at HK$600.89 million, down from HK$695.54 million at end-2025, mainly reflecting HK$52.0 million of contingent consideration payments, HK$29.75 million for the Swiss acquisition, and HK$20.90 million of pre-completion NL acquisition costs.

The balance sheet showed total assets of HK$1.83 billion and equity of HK$1.25 billion. The current ratio strengthened to 3.1x from 2.8x at year-end 2025.

No interim dividend was declared. Post-period, EuroEyes completed the EUR131.35 million (approximately HK$1.09 billion) purchase of FYEO Europe B.V. on 22 July 2026; the deal was financed partly by a EUR75 million acquisition facility, leaving HK$670.70 million of undrawn committed credit lines at 30 June 2026.

Management will focus on integrating the Swiss and Dutch businesses, boosting clinic utilisation, and expanding presbyopia services, while suspending standalone organic guidance until the new acquisitions are fully absorbed.
