A federal judge in the United States has rejected Tesla's objections and upheld a ruling requiring the company to pay $243 million to the victims of a fatal 2019 crash involving a Model S equipped with its Autopilot system.
In a decision made public on Friday, Miami-based U.S. District Judge Beth Bloom stated that the trial evidence was "more than sufficient to support" the verdict and that Tesla failed to present any new grounds to overturn the judgment.
