China Mobile Donates HK$10 Million to Support Relief and Reconstruction Efforts in Hong Kong's Tai Po District

On November 26, a severe fire broke out in Hong Kong's Tai Po district, resulting in significant casualties. The disaster has drawn widespread concern, and the Hong Kong SAR government has activated emergency response mechanisms to address the incident. In response, China Mobile and its subsidiaries in Hong Kong have pledged HK$10 million in donations to support medical treatment for the injured, financial assistance for bereaved families, and community reconstruction efforts.

China Mobile expressed deep condolences for the victims, extended sincere sympathies to affected families, and paid tribute to firefighters and rescue personnel. The company will continue to monitor the situation and provide 24/7 emergency communication services to ensure stable connectivity for residents.

Additionally, China Mobile will waive communication and broadband fees for affected customers in Tai Po, suspend debt collection and service suspensions, and expedite SIM card replacements for those who lost their devices. These measures aim to provide comprehensive support for disaster recovery and assist the Hong Kong government in reconstruction efforts.
