BOE VARITRONIX (00710) surged over 7% during morning trading, rising 7.72% to HK$6.56 with a trading volume of HK$77.41 million as of press time.
According to recent supply chain sources, the iPhone 17 series will feature three display suppliers: Samsung, LG, and BOE. BOE VARITRONIX is reportedly set to supply OLED panels for the iPhone 17 Pro series, though exclusively for the China domestic market version.
Sources indicate that BOE has recently established an iPhone OLED production line. Compared to Samsung and LG, BOE's supply volume will be the smallest among the three suppliers. Samsung is expected to be the primary supplier for the iPhone 17 series, with projections indicating Samsung will supply 70 million OLED panels for the iPhone 17 series this year, while LG is expected to provide 43 million OLED panels.
Relevant data shows that in the second quarter of this year, LG held a 21.3% share of Apple's OLED supply, BOE captured 22.7%, and Samsung dominated with 56.0%. It's worth noting that these figures represent second-quarter market share distribution, while iPhone 17 series OLED panel mass production is scheduled to begin in the third quarter.
According to reports, BOE previously supplied approximately 20% of OLED displays for the iPhone 16 series, with an annual production capacity reaching 100 million units.
