Singapore has revised upward its forecast for non-oil domestic exports in 2026, citing resilient demand for artificial intelligence (AI) while cautioning about risks from ongoing Middle East conflicts and potential trade frictions. Enterprise Singapore stated on Monday that the country's non-oil domestic exports (NODX) are expected to grow by 3.0% to 5.0% this year, up from the previous projection of 2.0% to 4.0%. The agency attributed the upgraded forecast to robust AI-related demand, which it said is supporting the global economy. Additionally, the impact of tariffs has been less severe than anticipated, further bolstering trade figures.
