On June 11th, Lenovo Group launched the kickoff event for its "2026 FIFA World Cup Lenovo World Cup Carnival" in Beijing. Liu Jun, Executive Vice President of Lenovo Group and President of its China region, demonstrated several "AI black technologies" developed specifically for the World Cup based on hybrid AI. He announced that, starting immediately, thousands of online and offline events will be held to allow Chinese fans to witness an unprecedented football spectacle together.

As the Official Technology Partner for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, Lenovo is comprehensively empowering intelligent tournament operations, enhanced fan experiences, and the promotion of football through hybrid AI. Liu Jun stated that Lenovo is committed to deeply applying advanced tournament experience and technology in China. The company aims to make this World Cup a competition "exploding with technological content" and bring advanced tournament expertise to Chinese football.

The 2026 FIFA World Cup is setting multiple historical records: spanning three countries and 16 cities, featuring 48 teams competing in 104 matches, with an estimated global viewership exceeding 6 billion.

Faced with the challenges of massive computing power scheduling and ultra-low latency, Liu Jun pointed out, "For a tournament of this complexity, humans must operate it in partnership with AI. AI is no longer just a supplementary tool; it will become the 'core engine' for this global top-tier event."

At the event, he unveiled several core AI technologies Lenovo has tailor-made for the World Cup. These include the World Cup Football AI Super Agent, a 3D Digital Human Visualization Solution, and an AI Video Enhancement System from the Referee's Perspective.

While showcasing these cutting-edge technologies, Liu Jun emphasized Lenovo's commitment to localization. "From the Beijing Olympics and Winter Olympics to F1 and now the World Cup, while using leading AI technology to serve top-tier events, Lenovo is also integrating and absorbing these capabilities to bring them to Chinese football. Lenovo is willing to help realize the dream of Chinese football through technology," he said.

Leveraging its Tianxi AI platform, Lenovo's cooperation with the Chinese Football Association Super League is deepening. The two parties have jointly developed a "Fan Service Intelligent Agent" to enhance the immersive viewing experience through personalized recommendations. They have also upgraded the "Tournament Command" and "Tournament Marketing" intelligent agents to comprehensively improve league operation efficiency and management levels.

This carnival also doubles as a major promotional event. Starting with Beijing, it will extensively cover 31 core cities across China, including Shanghai, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Tianjin, and Hefei, through thousands of carnival events and interactive online live streams.

Liu Jun announced that some of the "AI black technologies" applied for the World Cup will be available for all fans and audiences to experience firsthand at the Lenovo Carnival exhibition areas. Simultaneously, Lenovo will offer its full range of FIFA World Cup limited-edition products to fans and consumers during the carnival period.

Liu Jun added, "We have launched interactive activities like World Cup ticket giveaways and the 'Lucky Goal, Golden Prize' campaign to share the joy and passion brought by technology and sports with fans, audiences, and consumers nationwide."
