Shares of Abbisko-B (02256) rose more than 5% in morning trading. At the time of writing, the stock was up 5.49% to HK$11.33, with a turnover of HK$17.38 million.

The move follows an announcement on July 2nd. The company disclosed that its subsidiary, Abbisko Therapeutics, has entered into a strategic collaboration agreement with AstraZeneca PLC (AZN) to jointly advance a clinical study for a novel targeted-immunotherapy combination treatment for non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC).

This joint research is a multi-center, open-label Phase I/II clinical trial. It aims to evaluate the safety and efficacy of Abbisko's internally developed, first-in-class oral small molecule PD-L1 inhibitor, ABSK043 (lumipodlin), in combination with AstraZeneca's third-generation EGFR-TKI Tagrisso® (osimertinib). The treatment is intended for patients with EGFR mutation and PD-L1 positive locally advanced or metastatic NSCLC.

The Investigational New Drug (IND) application for this study received approval from China's National Medical Products Administration (NMPA) on May 20, 2026. Abbisko Therapeutics will lead this Phase II study, with both Abbisko and AstraZeneca sharing responsibilities for the clinical trial.
