On September 4, HAIER SMARTHOME rose 3.02% in regular trading to HK$21.82, with turnover of HK$136 million. The rally was driven by the launch of the company's D-share buyback program and continued institutional accumulation.

According to a filing dated September 3, HAIER SMARTHOME plans to repurchase up to 81.04 million D-shares — approximately 30% of outstanding D-shares — at EUR 1.87 per share on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange's Xetra platform. The buyback acceptance period runs from September 4 through September 29, with all repurchased shares to be canceled, directly reducing share capital and enhancing per-share value. Separately, JPMorgan acquired 5.0048 million shares on August 28 at an average price of approximately HK$21.13, lifting its stake to 6.05%. BlackRock had also previously added 6.6768 million shares at roughly HK$21.55 each, raising its holding to 7.2%. Consecutive buying by major global institutions signals confidence in the stock's valuation.

The D-share buyback complements an ongoing A-share repurchase program under which the company has cumulatively bought back approximately 94.44 million shares for around RMB 1.977 billion since March. CLSA recently raised its target price to HK$26 and maintained an Outperform rating.
