China Ruyi released its 2025 Environmental, Social and Governance Report, detailing financial results and updated sustainability targets for the year ended 31 December 2025. Annual revenue reached RMB 3.34 billion, while net profit rose sharply to RMB 1.79 billion, providing what management described as a solid foundation for continued ESG investment.

The Board retains ultimate oversight of ESG strategy and has formalised an ESG Working Group to monitor regulatory trends, assess risks and opportunities, and track performance. A materiality review confirmed that intellectual-property protection, data security, content quality, greenhouse-gas (GHG) emissions and employee development remain priority issues for stakeholders.

Key environmental metrics showed mixed progress. Total GHG emissions rose to 364.54 tCO₂e, driven by higher electricity use as the online-gaming segment expanded, lifting Scope 2 emissions to 311.72 tCO₂e. Scope 1 emissions from fuel fell 27% to 52.82 tCO₂e after tighter fleet management. Air-pollutant output also declined, with nitrogen-oxide emissions down to 111.62 kg. The Group has committed to cut combined Scope 1 and Scope 2 GHG-intensity (tCO₂e per million dollars of revenue) by 10% from the FY 2022 baseline by 2032.

Resource-efficiency measures included a 27% drop in fuel consumption and a 20% reduction in water-use intensity. Electricity consumption rose to 546,595 kWh, reflecting higher data-centre demand. Waste volumes remained minimal; non-hazardous waste totalled 0.003 tonne, while hazardous waste was 0.018 tonne, both kept within the internal ceiling of 0.1 kg per employee.

On the social front, the workforce expanded 27% to 565 employees, with women representing 35.2% of staff. Employee turnover stood at 25.8%. The Company provided regular health checks, role-based training and maintained zero work-related fatalities or injuries.

Governance initiatives focused on data privacy, anti-corruption controls and responsible content creation. All new hires complete integrity training, suppliers must sign an anti-bribery pledge and the Company reported no corruption cases during the year. Comprehensive youth-protection measures were embedded in both the Pumpkin Film streaming app and Jingxiu Games titles, including real-name verification and play-time limits.

Community investment reached HKD 10 million for emergency relief after the Tai Po fire in Hong Kong. Additional programmes supported digital-skills research for Tibetan youth and volunteer services for persons with disabilities, earning China Ruyi a “Caring Enterprise” certificate.

Looking ahead, the Group will prioritise low-carbon production, expand digital solutions such as virtual filming to curb emissions, and explore green-finance channels. Management believes existing climate-related risks are not material to financial performance but will integrate scenario analysis and carbon metrics into future capital-allocation decisions.
