Singapore Airlines (SIA) and its budget carrier Scoot reported a 0.8% year-on-year decline in combined passenger traffic for March, partly due to the shift of Easter holidays from March 2024 to April 2025.

In an operational update released on Tuesday, the national carrier stated that Scoot's passenger volume fell by 5.5% to 2.7 billion, while SIA's rose by 0.5% to 9.9 billion.

Together, the two airlines carried 3.3 million passengers in March, up 0.8% compared to the same period last year. SIA's share price closed at S6.30 on Tuesday, gaining1.4% or S$0.09.
