On December 19, Alibaba's Qwen posted on its official account, stating it had been "framed by AI." A widely circulated image online, purportedly showing a "Qwen all-hands meeting with Doubao," was confirmed to be AI-generated. Not only was the so-called "square meeting" fabricated, but the logos and employee badges in the image were also entirely incorrect.

Alibaba Qwen is an open-source large language model series launched by Alibaba Group, with four generations of models released since August 2023. Doubao, on the other hand, is an AI tool introduced by ByteDance, also launched in August 2023.
