Evinced, a Digital Accessibility Software Firm, Releases Smart Coding Tools to Automatically Fix Accessibility Issues

Digital accessibility software company Evinced announced at the Disability:IN conference on July 29th the launch of a smart coding tool suite named Autopilot, Harness, and Resolve. These tools are designed to automatically detect and fix accessibility defects during software development, reducing the manual workload for developers.

A study by the company found that the typical homepage of a Fortune 500 company contains an average of 20 accessibility defects, and most of these can be automatically eliminated using the new tools. The new suite integrates directly with existing enterprise AI systems and CI/CD pipelines.

Specifically, Autopilot detects defects when code is submitted to the CI/CD system and directs AI agents to automatically fix and test them. Developers only need to review and approve the modifications. Resolve handles a backlog of historical accessibility issues from audit or scan reports, automatically validating and fixing the code until it meets compliance standards. Harness is embedded within leading code assistants, helping developers interactively fix issues before submitting code.

Navin Thadani, CEO and co-founder of Evinced, noted that while teams are accelerating code output, they face a greater risk of producing inaccessible code faster. These tools are expected to enhance both productivity and accessibility simultaneously.
