A South Korean Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy official stated that despite growing market concerns over potential crude oil shortages in April, the country believes the supply situation remains manageable with existing reserves and alternative sources. The official indicated that 24 million barrels of crude oil from the United Arab Emirates will be delivered progressively by the end of March. Additionally, the government is prepared to release petroleum reserves in mid-April, when private inventories are expected to be depleted. Authorities will discuss with refiners the redirection of naphtha exports for domestic use. Despite eased U.S. sanctions, refiners remain cautious about importing Russian crude oil.
