Science Applications International Corporation's stock soared 16.17% during intraday trading on Monday.
The significant upward movement followed the release of the company's fiscal first-quarter 2027 financial results, which substantially exceeded analyst expectations. SAIC reported adjusted earnings per share of $3.23, beating the FactSet consensus estimate of $2.28, while revenue of $1.91 billion also topped the expected $1.82 billion.
The strong performance was driven by improved profitability across the company's contract portfolio and a $12 million gain from the sale of an investment. In response to the robust quarterly results, SAIC raised its full-year guidance, now expecting adjusted EPS in the range of $9.90 to $10.10 for fiscal 2027, up from its previous forecast of $9.50 to $9.70.
