10 Companies in Huairou District Receive Advanced-Level Smart Factory Certification in Beijing

Recently, it was learned from the district's economic and information bureau that Huairou District has steadily advanced the certification process for advanced-level smart factories in Beijing, significantly improving production efficiency and optimizing the industrial chain for manufacturing enterprises. To date, 10 companies in the district have received this certification.

At the production facility of Beijing Ke Gao Da Bei Nong Biotechnology Co., Ltd., machines such as bulk raw material silos, crushers, and pellet mills operate smoothly. Palletizing robots perform 1,200 arm movements per hour, ensuring efficient and orderly production. Outside the workshop, forklifts and bulk trucks work in coordination to load feed quickly. Inside this "smart factory," apart from the busy production lines, autonomous intelligent equipment dominates, with a few workers skillfully operating the machinery.

"Except for the pellet mill, all equipment operations are handled by a single control room operator, including precise batching of large and small materials. Night shifts require only three to five workers to achieve full-capacity production. Efficiency has quadrupled compared to before, energy consumption has dropped by 40%, and overall quality control has become more stable," said Yin Yong, Production Director of Beijing Ke Gao Da Bei Nong Biotechnology Co., Ltd.

Driven by "intelligent manufacturing," production lines have become more dynamic, and workers' roles have transformed. In recent years, the company has introduced smart equipment such as bulk silos, micro scales, grain unloaders, and palletizing robots, freeing workers from manual tasks like bag carrying and transportation. Employees have transitioned into machine operators, continuously acquiring new skills in their upgraded roles.

Meanwhile, at the testing laboratory of Beijing Red Star Co., Ltd., a comprehensive two-dimensional gas chromatography-time-of-flight mass spectrometer leverages the synergy of two-dimensional chromatographic separation and time-of-flight mass spectrometry to efficiently capture volatile flavor compounds in liquor. This enables precise identification of trace components—accounting for just 2%-3%—that are crucial to the liquor's flavor profile.

Through temperature programming and intelligent separation technology, the instrument achieves efficient separation of thousands of flavor compounds, providing robust support for liquor flavor research, brewing process optimization, and digital standardization. This advancement helps refine the aroma and taste of the liquor.
