CapitaLand Ascendas REIT (A17U) announced on Apr, 29 2026 that the Inland Revenue Authority of Singapore has ruled its 300 million Singapore dollars fixed-rate subordinated green perpetual securities, issued under a 7 billion Singapore dollars euro medium-term securities programme, will be treated as debt securities.

The decision allows the securities to qualify for Singapore’s Qualifying Debt Securities scheme, meaning distributions will be regarded as interest and investors may enjoy the related tax concessions, subject to meeting the scheme’s conditions.

The manager recommended that holders consult their own tax advisers regarding the implications of the ruling.
