TENCENT's third-quarter earnings report highlights its continued investment in AI, with R&D expenditure reaching a record high of 22.82 billion yuan and capital expenditures totaling 12.98 billion yuan.

By balancing capital spending with efficiency, TENCENT has successfully translated AI investments into business growth. The company reported total revenue of 192.87 billion yuan, up 15% year-over-year, while non-IFRS operating profit rose 18% to 72.57 billion yuan. All three core business segments achieved double-digit revenue growth.

Internationally, TENCENT saw strong performance, with overseas gaming revenue surging 43% year-over-year to 20.8 billion yuan, setting a new quarterly record.

Yuanbao, TENCENT's AI assistant, made significant progress in ecosystem integration, now connecting with WeChat, QQ, TENCENT Meeting, and TENCENT Docs, among dozens of other internal applications. It covers key scenarios including social networking, office productivity, and consumer services. Currently, Yuanbao's daily active users (DAU) rank among the top three in the industry, with daily user queries reaching levels comparable to monthly totals earlier this year.
