Chu Kong Petroleum and Natural Gas Steel Pipe Holdings Limited (Chu Kong Pipe) released a supplemental announcement on 2 April 2026, clarifying the independence status of newly appointed independent non-executive director (INED) Sun Dixie Hui, who also assumes the roles of chairman of the Remuneration Committee and member of both the Audit and Nomination Committees.

The Board stated that Ms. Sun: 1) satisfies all independence criteria under Listing Rule 3.13(1)–(8); 2) holds no past or present financial or other interest in Chu Kong Pipe or its subsidiaries, nor any connection with core connected persons; and 3) has identified no other factors that could affect her independence at the time of appointment.

No additional matters concerning Ms. Sun require shareholder attention, and all other information in the 31 March 2026 announcement remains unchanged.

Following the appointment, the Board composition is: • Executive Directors – Chen Chang (Chairman) and Chen Zhao Nian • Independent Non-Executive Directors – Chen Ping, Au Yeung Kwong Wah and Sun Dixie Hui
