Haichang Ocean Park Holdings Ltd. (2255) (“Haichang Ocean Park”) and Beijing Tongzhou Urban Construction and Operation Group Co., Ltd. (“Tongzhou Urban Construction”) have reached a cooperation to establish a joint venture company. According to the formal contract, the new entity will exclusively operate the Beijing Haichang Ocean Park project, leveraging the “Haichang Ocean Park” brand. It will receive biological assets for operations, subject to a leasing service fee arrangement.

The project is situated in the northern industrial belt of Beijing’s sub-city center Cultural Tourism District, near the Beijing Universal Resort and Gaoloujin Station of Metro Line 7. The total construction area is approximately 160,000 square meters, incorporating hotels, aquariums, and supporting facilities. Construction is expected to be completed, and operations are anticipated to begin in 2027.

The venture is designed to showcase a fifth-generation aquarium, integrating ecology, science education, research, interaction, exhibition, art, and theme hotels. Multiple themed zones will host various interactive performances, water screen shows, and artistic events. Haichang Ocean Park’s management described the initiative as a flagship benchmark that aims to reflect the Group’s longstanding experience in marine culture and tourism.
