Building on more than six decades of aviation industry expertise, Jingmen in Hubei Province is advancing its low-altitude economy by strengthening the entire industrial chain. This effort moves beyond the traditional focus on aircraft manufacturing, creating an integrated aviation ecosystem that covers research and development, testing, production, maintenance, and operations.

The city leverages its unique water-land general aviation airport airspace, bringing together nearly 50 aviation-related companies and achieving the development and mass production of 13 aircraft models. Among them, the popular AS700 "Xiangyun" manned airship has secured over 200 orders.

At the same time, low-altitude applications are expanding across various sectors, including emergency rescue, air logistics, agricultural and forestry operations, cultural tourism and research, and urban management. A cross-provincial low-altitude cargo route has been successfully launched, and aviation maintenance capabilities are being continuously strengthened. These efforts are driving the low-altitude economy forward—from industrial manufacturing to comprehensive, full-region practical use.
