XPeng Inc. Announces Recall of X9 Model

Zhaoqing XPeng New Energy Investment Co., Ltd. has filed a recall plan with the State Administration for Market Regulation, in accordance with the requirements of the "Regulations on the Recall of Defective Automobile Products" and its implementation rules. Under recall number S2026M0082V, starting from August 28, 2026, the company will recall 33,473 units of the XPeng X9, produced between August 8, 2023, and August 11, 2025. The recall affects vehicles where manufacturing process variations may have led to reduced air tightness in the front air springs. After prolonged use in hot and humid environments, these front air springs could slowly leak air, triggering a fault warning light and text alerts. In extreme cases, this could affect vehicle handling, posing a safety risk. Zhaoqing XPeng New Energy Investment Co., Ltd. will replace the front air spring strut assemblies on affected vehicles with improved parts free of charge to eliminate the safety hazard. Vehicles that have already been fitted with the upgraded components will not require a replacement for this recall.
