China's Light Truck Sales Reach 161,700 Units in October, Up 0.26% YoY

According to data from the Commercial Vehicle Committee of the China Automobile Dealers Association, national light truck sales (wholesale) in October 2025 reached 161,700 units, marking a year-on-year increase of 0.26% and a month-on-month rise of 0.20%. Meanwhile, micro truck sales (wholesale) stood at 30,500 units, surging 64.95% year-on-year but declining 10.00% month-on-month.

From January to October, cumulative light truck sales totaled 1.6373 million units, up 5.57% compared to the same period last year. In contrast, micro truck sales during the same period fell 4.91% to 349,900 units.

In October, the top five companies in light truck sales (wholesale) accounted for 58.37% of the market share, led by Foton Motor, followed by Changan Automobile, Great Wall Motor (GWMOTOR), JAC Motors, and Dongfeng Group. Year-to-date, the top five firms held a 58.42% share, maintaining the same ranking.

For micro trucks, the top five manufacturers dominated 94.71% of October sales, with SAIC-GM-Wuling leading, trailed by Changan Automobile, Chery Automobile, Dongfeng Group, and KAMA Motors. From January to October, these top players represented 96.35% of the market, with SAIC-GM-Wuling remaining in first place, followed by Changan Automobile, Chery Automobile, KAMA Motors, and Dongfeng Group.
