IMF Lowers Global Growth Forecast While Raising China's Outlook

The International Monetary Fund (IMF) has revised its global economic projections, lowering the world growth forecast for 2026 by 0.1 percentage points to 3%. In contrast, the IMF has raised its growth forecast for China by 0.2 percentage points to 4.6%.

The update to the World Economic Outlook report, released on the 8th, also includes a downward revision for developed economies, with their growth forecast trimmed by 0.1 percentage points to 1.7%. Similarly, the growth forecast for emerging market and developing economies was lowered by 0.1 percentage points to 3.8%.
