Maintain steady driving speeds and avoid sudden acceleration or braking, as aggressive driving can significantly increase fuel consumption. Additionally, ensure your vehicle's tires are properly inflated, since under-inflated tires create more rolling resistance and force the engine to work harder.

Reduce unnecessary idling whenever possible. If you expect to be stationary for more than a minute, it is often more efficient to turn off the engine rather than leave it running. Also, remove excess weight from your trunk or cabin, as carrying heavy items directly impacts fuel efficiency.

Use air conditioning judiciously. At highway speeds, open windows create aerodynamic drag that increases fuel usage, so using the AC system may actually be more efficient. Conversely, at lower speeds, rolling down the windows is typically the better option.
